Unsung Heroes is looking for a self-motivated ASM/Rehearsal Stage Manager to manage the backstage and rehearsal process for their 5th Annual song and dance fundraiser going up in February 2018 at the Vaughan City Playhouse. Show is cast from very talented amateurs who are unfamiliar with stage craft and etiquette. A sense of humour is a valuable asset.

Unsung Heroes Productions honours the memory of Barbara Pinchuk, it’s founder’s late mother, and has been raising money for local charity for four years and has produced, to date, six shows. More info at www.unsungheroesproductions.com

Unsung Heroes Productions is the evolution of The Barbara Pinchuk Unsung Heroes Legacy Project.  Conceived in 2012, 3 years after Barbara’s passing, her son Neal wanted to find a way to honour his mom.  Barbara was a single mother raising three children in poverty.

After a difficult divorce she would move to Toronto, a city with few familiar faces, friends or family, to start a new life with her children.  What she did next was nothing short of miraculous.  Without any money to her name and a debilitating bout of depression…she raised her children with love, compassion and sacrifice beyond measure.

Now today, we are in our 4th year and have raised over $110,000 for charities integral to Barbara’s life, which are Leukemia, Mental Health and Poverty.  And we do this all through her two things she loved dearly, music and theatre.

Rehearsals begin October 1, 2017. Rehearsals are Thursday and Sunday nights 7-10 pm. Rehearsals will be held at VIBE Studios, Clarke and Dufferin.  Moves into the theatre on February 3, 2018 and open the 6th for a three show mid-week run to 8th.

Car an asset but definitely not required. Best candidate will enjoy figuring out the logistics of pulling together a massive show with just a few days in the theatre. Best candidate will be communication savvy, highly organized, and flexible.

An honorarium for the ASM/Rehearsal Stage Manager is attached to the project.
